Privacy policy
Your library is yours. Here is how DearPix handles photos, local records, purchases and support requests.
Updated November 8, 2026
Your photo library
DearPix is a photo-library organizer operated by Hang Hu. It reads the photos, videos, Live Photos and related metadata that you allow through Apple’s photo-library permission. Media is used to display and organize your library, and is not uploaded to a DearPix server.
Items stored in iCloud Photos may be downloaded to your device through Apple’s system services when needed. DearPix does not operate a separate photo-storage or account service.
Local data
Organizing decisions, progress, preferences, the current batch and daily free-allowance bookkeeping are stored locally. Photo previews and available media may also be cached in the app’s container. DearPix does not send this organizing history to a developer-operated server.
Device backups, including any iCloud device backup you enable, are controlled by your system settings and Apple.
Photo locations
When a photo contains location metadata, DearPix may send those photo coordinates to Apple Maps to look up a city name. The app does not request your device’s current location for this feature, and does not send the photo itself for the lookup.
Apple processes these requests under its own privacy policy.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes payments, subscription renewals, refunds and offer-code redemption. DearPix uses StoreKit’s verified purchase and subscription information to decide whether full access is active, including its expiration or revocation. We do not receive your payment-card details or require a DearPix account.
Changing or canceling a subscription is handled through Apple. Removing the app does not cancel an active subscription.
Sharing you choose
If you use the system share sheet, the selected media is provided to the app or person you choose. That recipient’s handling of the shared material is governed by its own practices. DearPix does not automatically share your photos with other people.
Website and support email
This website does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. Its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, request time and browser details, to deliver and protect the pages.
If you email support, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond and resolve your request, and retain correspondence as needed for support follow-up or applicable obligations. Support email is handled by our domain’s email-forwarding and mailbox providers.
Retention and deletion
Local organizing records remain until you reset the relevant progress or remove the app. Resetting progress does not delete your library photos; local preferences, caches and daily-allowance bookkeeping can remain. Removing the app removes its local container according to iOS behavior. Apple controls any separate backups and App Store transaction records.
Deleting a photo is a separate action that requires your review and the system confirmation. Recovery, when available, is through Recently Deleted in Apple Photos. You can contact support about deleting correspondence you have sent us.
Your choices
You can limit or revoke photo access in system Settings, choose whether to share media, manage subscriptions with Apple, reset organizing progress, or remove the app. You can use the free features without a DearPix account.
We do not sell your photos or organizing history, add advertising SDKs, or use these records to track you across apps and websites.
